CTCPA Women Awards Honor Outstanding Connecticut CPAs

January 19, 2022

(Rocky Hill, CT) – The Connecticut Society of CPAs (CTCPA) recently honored seven outstanding women during the January CTCPA Women Awards virtual celebration recognizing excellence in leadership and management in the accounting profession.

Awardees were honored in two categories: Distinguished Service and Women to Watch.

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes women who have advanced to a higher level or leadership position within their organizations. Winners were selected based on demonstrated thought leadership, major or unique contributions to the profession, contributions to the community, and mentoring other professionals.

The Women to Watch category honors professionals who have made significant contributions to the profession and their communities, but have not yet reached the highest levels of advancement. Winners were selected based on demonstrated leadership, creation and implementation of unique initiatives, and contributions to the community.

This is the third year the CTCPA has honored outstanding female leaders in the profession. “These dynamic women have made invaluable contributions to their organizations and those they serve,” said CTCPA Executive Director and CEO Bonnie Stewart, who continues to elevate diversity, equity, inclusion, and access at the 114-year-old membership organization. “Our honorees are the essence of the accounting profession's commitment to outstanding quality, innovation, and growth in a very challenging and evolving business environment.”
