CPA Society Honors Rachel Tressy, CPA, CIA, CRMA of Voya Financial, Inc. with Leadership Award

The Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) honored Rachel Tressy, CPA, CIA, CRMA of Voya Financial, Inc. with the 2026 Jack Brooks Leadership Award recently at the CTCPA Annual Meeting held at the Sheraton Hartford South Hotel in Rocky Hill.

The Jack Brooks Leadership Award is presented annually to recognize an exceptional leader whose dedication, service, and lasting contributions have strengthened both the accounting profession and the organization.

Rachel is a dedicated leader, mentor, and advocate who has made a lasting impact through her service to the CPA association and the broader community. Over the years, she has served the CTCPA on the Nominating Committee, Advisory Council, Audit Committee, and Board of Directors, where she is completing a two-year term.

Rachel is Executive Vice President and Chief Auditor for Voya Financial, Inc., and has served as a valued voice for CTCPA members working in business and industry. She is known for her generosity, thoughtful guidance, and willingness to support others.

She has also played an important role in the CTCPA Women’s Awards program, serving on the planning committee for several years. When a keynote speaker became unavailable shortly before the event, Rachel stepped in to lead an inspiring fireside chat that resonated strongly with attendees.

Rachel is committed to empowering young women and girls through her service on the Board of Directors for Grace Academy, a tuition-free all-girls middle school in Hartford. Each year, she sponsors students from the school to attend the Women’s Awards program, helping them envision possibilities for their own futures.

Through her leadership, mentorship, and service, Rachel Tressy continues to inspire and empower others at every stage of their personal and professional journeys.

She holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut and a B.A. in Political Science from College of the Holy Cross.

With a membership of more than 6,000 in public practice, business and industry, government, and education, the CTCPA’s mission is to advocate on behalf of the accounting profession, foster a professional community, and provide high-quality professional development opportunities.
