Connecticut Society of CPAs Elects and Installs 2026-2027 Leadership

The Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) elected and installed its Board of Directors for the 2026-2027 activity year as follows:

Chair
Muhammad Malloy, CPA of Colchester
CohnReznick

Muhammad is a Senior Tax Manager at CohnReznick Advisory LLC in Hartford. He holds an M.S. in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Hartford, a B.S. in Accounting from Eastern Connecticut State University, and an A.S. in Accounting from Three Rivers Community College. He was named to the Forbes America’s Best-In-State CPAs list in 2025 and 2026. He has served CTCPA as Chair-elect, Treasurer, Secretary, and a member-at-large of the Board of Directors as well as a member of the Investment Committee, Membership Committee, and Student Outreach Speakers Bureau.

Amber is a Partner with Goldblatt Bokoff LLC in Norwich. She holds a B.S. in Accounting and an M.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. She was honored with a 2024 CTCPA Women’s Award in the Women to Watch category. She was named to the Forbes America’s Best-In-State CPAs list in 2025 and 2026. Amber has served CTCPA as Treasurer, Secretary, chair of the Advisory Council and the Technology Group, and a member of the Pipeline Task Force, Nominating Committee, Student Outreach Speakers Bureau, and Southeastern Connecticut Chapter. Amber is also a Connecticut representative to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Governing Council.

Katherine is a Partner with PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP in Wethersfield.  She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Eastern Connecticut State University and an M.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. Katherine was honored with a 2024 CTCPA Women’s Award in the Women to Watch category. She was named to the Forbes America’s Best-In-State CPAs list in 2025 and 2026. She has served the CTCPA as Secretary, chair of the Governmental Accounting and Auditing Group and Accounting Scholarship Foundation, as well as a member of the Advisory Council, Audit-Review Committee, New and Young Professionals Cabinet, Peer Review Committee, Pipeline Task Force, and Student Outreach Speakers Bureau. Katherine is also a Connecticut representative to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Governing Council.

Eliot is a Partner, Tax & Advisory Services with Fiondella, Milone & LaSaracina LLP in Glastonbury. He holds a B.S. in Accountancy from George Washington University and an M.S. in Taxation from Baruch College. He has served two terms as the CTCPA Advisory Council Chair and has also served as a member the organization’s following groups: Federal Taxation Group; Trust, Estate, and Gift Taxation Group; and Southeastern Connecticut Chapter; and Nominating Committee. He is a graduate of the Connecticut Professionals’ Leadership Academy.

Kariann is a Manager in the Partner of the Firm tax practice with EY in Hartford. Additionally, she has taught accounting courses at Post University. She holds an M.S. in Accounting, B.S. in Accounting, and A.S. in Criminal Justice from Post University. Kariann was honored with a 2025 CTCPA Women’s Award in the Women to Watch category. She is a graduate of the Connecticut Professionals’ Leadership Academy and has served as a member of several CTCPA groups including the Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting Group; State Taxation Group; Federal Taxation Group; Technology Group; and the Trust, Estate, and Gift Taxation Group.

Anne is the Managing Director, Select Operations at CRC Specialty. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University. Anne was honored with a 2021 CTCPA Women’s Award in the Women to Watch category. She has also served the CTCPA as a Member-at-Large of the Advisory Council.

Thomas Maddaloni, CPA of Fairfield
Birchwood Country Club

Thomas is the Controller at Birchwood Country Club in Westport. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Villanova University and in addition to the CPA designation completed the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA®) certification from the Corporate Finance Institute. He has served the CTCPA as a member of the Advisory Council and on several groups including the Nominating Committee, Finance Professionals in Industry Group, and Fairfield County Chapter.

MahoneySabol  

Michael is a Partner with MahoneySabol in Glastonbury. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. He is a member of the Certified Fraud Examiners and is certified in Financial Forensics. He was named to the Forbes America’s Best-In-State CPAs list in 2026. Mike will also serve as chair of the CTCPA Audit Committee for the coming year.

Jennifer Schempp, CPA of Orange

Jennifer is a Partner with Beers, Hamerman, Cohen & Burger, P.C. in Fairfield/New Haven. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Jennifer was honored with a 2024 CTCPA Women’s Award in the Distinguished Service category. She was named to the Forbes America’s Best-In-State CPAs list in 2026. She is a member and past chair of the CTCPA Employee Benefit Plans Group, a past member of the CTCPA Advisory Council, and has also served the organization as a member of the Nominating Committee and Student Outreach Speakers Bureau.

The Board of Directors was elected and installed at the CTCPA Annual Meeting held recently at the Sheraton Hartford South Hotel in Rocky Hill. With a membership of more than 6,000 in public practice, business and industry, government, and education, the CTCPA’s mission is to advocate on behalf of the accounting profession, foster a professional community among CPAs, and provide professional development opportunities for CPAs in Connecticut.
