Connecticut Society of CPAs Elects and Installs 2025-2026 Leadership

The Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) has elected and installed its Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 activity year at its Annual Meeting held at the Sheraton Hartford South Hotel in Rocky Hill on May 14.

Mary Manfredi, CPA of Westerly, RI
General Dynamics Electric Boat

Mary is the Manager of Finance at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. Mary was honored with a 2025 CTCPA Women’s Award in the Distinguished Service category. She has also served CTCPA as Chair-elect, Treasurer, Secretary, and a member of the Advisory Council and Investment Committee. Mary is also a Connecticut representative to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Governing Council.

Muhammad is a Tax Manager at CohnReznick in Hartford. He holds an M.S. in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Hartford, a B.S. in Accounting from Eastern Connecticut State University, and an A.S. in Accounting from Three Rivers Community College. He has served CTCPA as Treasurer, Secretary, and a member-at-large of the Board of Directors as well as a member of the Investment Committee, Membership Committee, and Student Outreach Speakers Bureau.

Amber is a Partner with Goldblatt Bokoff LLC in Norwich. She holds a B.S. in Accounting and an M.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. She was honored with a 2024 CTCPA Women’s Award in the Women to Watch category. Amber has served CTCPA as Secretary, chair of the Advisory Council and the Technology Group, and a member of the Pipeline Task Force, Nominating Committee, Student Outreach Speakers Bureau, and Southeastern Connecticut Chapter. Amber is also a Connecticut representative to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Governing Council.

Katherine is a Partner with PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP in Wethersfield.  She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Eastern Connecticut State University and an M.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. Katherine was honored with a 2024 CTCPA Women’s Award in Women to Watch category and a 2014 CTCPA New and Young Professionals to Watch award. She has served the CTCPA as chair of the Governmental Accounting and Auditing Group and Accounting Scholarship Foundation, as well as a member of the Advisory Council, Audit-Review Committee, New and Young Professionals Cabinet, Peer Review Committee, Pipeline Task Force, and Student Outreach Speakers Bureau. Katherine is also a Connecticut representative to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Governing Council.

He holds a B.S. in Accountancy from George Washington University and an M.S. in Taxation from Baruch College. He is serving his second term as Advisory Council Chair and has also served CTCPA as a member the following groups: Federal Taxation Group; Trust, Estate, and Gift Taxation Group; and Southeastern Connecticut Chapter; and Nominating Committee. He is a graduate of the Connecticut Professionals’ Leadership Academy.

Kariann is a Manager in the Partner of the Firm tax practice with EY in Hartford. Additionally, she has taught accounting courses at Post University. She holds an M.S. in Accounting, B.S. in Accounting, and A.S. in Criminal Justice from Post University. Kariann was honored with a 2025 CTCPA Women’s Award in the Women to Watch category. She is a graduate of the Connecticut Professionals’ Leadership Academy and has served as a member of several CTCPA groups including the Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting Group; State Taxation Group; Federal Taxation Group; Technology Group; and the Trust, Estate, and Gift Taxation Group.

Jennifer is a partner with Beers, Hamerman, Cohen & Burger, P.C. in Fairfield/New Haven. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Jennifer was honored with a 2024 CTCPA Women’s Award in the Distinguished Service category. She is a member and past chair of the CTCPA Employee Benefit Plans Group, a past member of the CTCPA Advisory Council, and has also served the organization as a member of the Nominating Committee and Student Outreach Speakers Bureau.

Rachel is Executive Vice President and Chief Auditor for Voya Financial, Inc. in Windsor. She holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut and a B.A. in Political Science from College of the Holy Cross. She is chair of the CTCPA Audit-Review Committee and previously served as a member-at-large of the Advisory Council, a member of the Nominating Committee, and a member of the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Group.

With a membership of more than 5,000 in public practice, business and industry, government, and education, the CTCPA’s mission is to advocate on behalf of the accounting profession, foster a professional community among CPAs, and provide professional development opportunities for CPAs in Connecticut.
