CPA Society Elects Mitchell Insero of South Glastonbury to Secretary

The Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) has electedMitchell R. Insero, CPA of South Glastonbury to serve as secretary for the organization’s 2018-2019 activity year. His election took place at the CTCPA Annual Meeting held recently at Cascade in Hamden.

Mr. Insero is with the CIGNA Financial Development Program in Bloomfield. He holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Connecticut.

Mr. Insero has served CTCPA as a Board of Directors member-at-large, an Advisory Council member-at-large; Executive Search Committee member; New and Young Professionals Cabinet chair; and Valuation, Forensic, and Litigation Support Group member. In 2016, the CTCPA presented Mr. Insero with the organization’s Jack Brooks Leadership Award.

The Connecticut Society of CPAs is celebrating more than a century of service to membership and community alike. Formed by nine CPAs in 1908 at New Haven’s Union League Club, today CTCPA has a current membership of almost 6,000 individuals in public practice, business and industry, government, and education. Its function is to advocate on behalf of the accounting profession, foster a professional community among CPAs, and provide continuing education opportunities as well as a comprehensive peer review program and a variety of membership services for CPAs in Connecticut.
