The inaugural meeting featured Connecticut Commission on Fiscal Stability and Economic Growth Vice Chair Pat Widlitz, who gave an update on the Commission’s work. Pat is a former state representative (98th Assembly District, Guilford and Branford) and former co-chair of the House Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee.

The Commission has assembled some of the state’s top business leaders to study and recommend ways to improve the state’s fiscal stability and promote economic growth and competitiveness, including a goal of creating balanced state budgets in the future. Their specific areas for focus include revenues, tax structures, spending, debt, administrative and organizational actions, and related state and municipal activities.
