Join us for an evening of connecting and learning.

Connecticut just passed major legislation in the Trusts area effective 2020. The State has adopted The Uniform Trust Code, which is essentially a re-write of all of Connecticut’s trust laws. The new Code bestows new rights and obligations on those who create a Trust, as well as on the Trust’s beneficiaries and trustees.  The State has also enacted legislation that makes it easier to have an asset protection trust (maybe there is no longer a need to go offshore or to Alaska!?) and has extended the time limit for trusts to be in existence to 800 years (for those of you who think you will really like your temporally distant relatives).

Lots to learn and not much time to learn it. It is likely all of you are, and most of your clients are as well, either trust creators, trust beneficiaries, or trustees so this is a MUST ATTEND event.

Networking, Wine, Beer, and Pizza: 5:15 p.m.

Program: 5:45 p.m - 7:45 p.m.
