Governor Dan Malloy has tapped Democrat and
former Lt. Gov. Kevin Sullivan of West Hartford to
head the State of Connecticut Department of
Revenue Services (DRS).
Sullivan most recently worked as head of the
Children's Museum in West Hartford and served
as Senate president for years before briefly serv-
ing as lieutenant governor.
In a message of greetings on the Department of
Revenue Services website (www.ct.gov/drs),
Sullivan stated "The Department of Revenue
Services does not make policy but we can and
should be a resource for those who do. As
Commissioner, I fully commit the resources of this
agency to helping Governor Malloy restore the
fiscal and economic health of our state.
"We are a large state agency," he continued,
"and, as such, have a special responsibility to be
open, accessible, and welcoming to all those we
serve as individual and business taxpayers."
