The CT SBOA is the state agency that has statutory authority to issue
Connecticut CPA licenses and certificates. Its other program areas
include: continuing education, quality review, examination, regulation
and discipline.
*As of July 1, 2016, the CT SBOA and its functions have transferred to the
CT Department of Consumer Protection.

NASBA is an association dedicated to enhancing the effectiveness of the
country's 55 state boards of accountancy. It is the central clearinghouse
for the CPA Examination, maintaining a database of candidate records
and distributing advisory scores and other data.

Prometric testing centers are the physical location where the CPA Exam
is taken. They are to be contacted when scheduling to sit for the CPA
Exam. Prometric manages data communication, registration, scheduling,
testing systems, software, and test centers.
