Why Should an Accounting Student Consider your Program?
The MSA @ CCSU is designed to prepare you for a successful career - and part of that
process is preparing you to pass the CPA Exam. Flexible course schedules, hybrid and online
courses, and evening class hours make this an ideal program for working professionals. Our
faculty has a breadth of practical business experience that enriches their academic expertise
- they bring the business world into the classroom. While their first calling is teaching, our
faculty also consults for many businesses in the Hartford area, creating a supportive
network for sharing ideas, internships, and job opportunities. Our MSA program requires 30
credits to complete, including six required courses and four elective courses. Three required
and at least three elective courses are offered each Fall and Spring semester; a selection of
required and elective courses are offered each Summer semester. Full-time students can
complete the program in one calendar year by attending classes during the Fall, Spring, and
Summer semesters. Part-time students can complete the program in 18 months by
completing two courses each session for five consecutive semesters. Our program features
a distinctive on-campus arrangement with Becker that offers students the option to
integrate CPA exam prep courses with our curriculum, enabling you to efficiently spend
your study time while targeting critical exam objectives.
