Instructor Biography

Ben A. Neiburger, Esq.

Since 1994, Ben has been addressing legal, accounting, and lay audiences on ERISA, Medicaid, and Eldercare. With clear explanations, patience, gentle humor, and sensitivity, he helps listeners understand the importance of these topics in a way that gives them the ability to educate clients and that helps them avoid malpractice. Through speaking engagements and course work, he pursues knowledge and insight into laws and finances that affect families and senior citizens. In 2003, Ben left the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice at international law firm Baker & McKenzie, LLP to start his own legal practice, Neiburger Law, Ltd. in Elmhurst, Illinois. In 2012, the firm name became Generation Law, Ltd. Ben is an attorney in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Medicaid Planning, with expertise in Long-Term Care Planning, Special Needs Trusts, and Tax Planning for families and elders. He was named a ?Super Lawyer? in Elder Law by Thomson Reuters and the publishers of Chicago magazine in 2015, along with only five other Illinois attorneys. He also received this honor in 2007 and 2009?2014. Ben is an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and a member of the board of directors for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education. In addition to being admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court, he holds membership in the DuPage County Estate Planning Council, Illinois State Bar Association, and Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce.
